Courses for Teachers

In association with Snowsport Scotland, Ski Astons have been subsidising leadership awards for teachers and party leaders since 1990.

As qualified and practised teachers, our management team fully understand the pressures associated with the responsibility of organising tours to a mountain environment and are committed to providing training opportunities to help individuals feel fully prepared in the role.

We offer a range of skiing courses for teachers to equip those responsible with the skills required to manage a group safely and effectively.

The Alpine Ski Leader course is designed to train and qualify responsible skiers who are primarily interested in the encouragement of young skiers and who seek to lead such skiers within the boundaries of snow skiing resorts.

This is a 7 day residential course which is generally scheduled during the October half term break and is based in the Stubai Valley, Austria.

Inclusive packages are offered with reductions and free places available to teachers enrolling their group for the first time into the Ski Astons school programme in current or future seasons.

The licence is valid when accompanied with current first aid and child protection certification.
