Instructor training

Ski Instructor pathways are offered to individuals wishing to gain professional ski instructor training certification via the association of the Professional Ski Instructors of America (PSIA). Training and exams are offered in collaboration with Ski Academy Switzerland / Ski Academy Europe.

3 levels of professional ski instructor training are offered. Candidates completing the third level are awarded the ISIA badge.

PSIA certified Level 1 is the primary point at which registered members enter the certification track. This level requires members to demonstrate a solid foundation of information and experience necessary to be an effective ski teacher. The examination may take place in the first season of membership upon completion of 50 hours of training and teaching as attested to by the course director.

Dedicated to promoting the sport to individuals who wish to enthuse younger skiers, Ski Astons offer subsidised courses and payment plans to make pathways more accessible.
