Our Pathways

Ski Instructor training is available for individuals wishing to gain professional ski instructor training certification through the Professional Ski Instructors of America (PSIA). Training and exams are offered under the Ski Astons Snowsports Academy in collaboration with other academies under the umbrella of the Eastern and Northern Rocky Mountain divisions of PSIA.

Three levels of professional ski instructor training are offered, with candidates completing the third level being awarded the ISIA badge.

PSIA-certified Level 1 is the primary entry point for registered members on the certification track. This level requires members to demonstrate a solid foundation of knowledge and experience necessary to be an effective ski teacher. The examination may take place in the first season of membership upon completion of 50 hours of training and teaching, as attested by the course director.

Dedicated to promoting the sport to individuals who wish to inspire younger skiers, Ski Astons offers subsidised courses and payment plans to make these pathways more accessible.
